The RMMC BLIS Program is committed to preparing future librarians and information professionals with strong ethical values, equipped with both theoretical and practical knowledge to manage information, technology, and resources in support of education, culture, and community development.
To produce skilled, innovative, and research-driven library and information professionals;
To provide responsive and inclusive library and information services that support education, research, and community development;
To design, organize, and promote access to information systems and services that preserve cultural heritage and meet the needs of diverse users.
Graduates of the RMMC BLIS Program are expected to:
Demonstrate competence in managing information resources, services, and technologies across various library and information settings;
Uphold ethical standards and promote intellectual freedom, equitable access to information, and cultural sensitivity in their professional practice;
Engage in lifelong learning and research to contribute to the advancement of the library and information science field;
Support community and institutional development through inclusive and effective information services;
Lead and innovate by addressing emerging trends and challenges in the information profession.
